'Outlander' Star Sam Heughan Speaks On Possibility Of Becoming A Father; Caitriona Balfe Reveals Secret Behind Deleted Scene
"Outlander" star Sam Heughan was spotted discussing a report on social media recently. Though, there have been some speculations about Heughan going the family way, there is no evidence to substantiate them.
Sam Heughan Is Not Thinking Of Kids Now
Is the "Outlander" star Sam Heughan ready to become a father? There have been some reports lately which indicated that the actor may be thinking about having babies. Heughan, 36, is famous for portraying the role of Jamie Fraser in the hit Starz drama titled "Outlander." The actor was recently spotted mentioning the report on Twitter.
But, it eventually turned out to be a joke, as Sam Heughan was discussing an article that published incorrect information on his fellow actor, Steven Cree. Cree, who is seen in the role of Ian Murray in the series, was erroneously printed as celebrating his 40th birthday by the outlet. But in reality, the actor had just turned 37, Daily Record reported.
It was Sam Heughan who spotted this error and shared the same on his official Twitter account. The actor tweeted:
I think this may be one of my proudest moments... @MrStevenCree #birthdayboy #birthdayOldMan pic.twitter.com/RWfYmWmqSD
— Sam Heughan (@SamHeughan) March 2, 2017
Cree responded by referring to some other reports that wrote Heughan and his girlfriend MacKenzie Mauzy were expecting a child. He mentioned, "It's all I deserve after 'Heughan Talks'. "
The actor further said, "You are literally adding years to me. #IAM37. Congrats on the big news by the way! So happy for you." To this, Heughan retweeted, "I thought you were the father?!" It appears that the two actors were just having some fun moments, pulling each others' leg.
"Outlander" Star Caitriona Balfe Shared Reasons For Not Including Scene
Meanwhile, Balfe narrated an interesting detail to fans who were present at the Emerald City Comicon last Friday (Mar. 3). She revealed that a scene from the original novel of Diana Gabaldon was meant to be included in season 1 but it never happened.
Balfe said that the reason for the exclusion of that scene was because things went wrong. There was a scene where Father Bain (Tim Mclnnerny) was supposed to get attacked by some dogs.
Balfe mentioned this as she appeared with her co-actor Sam Heughan before the crowd. She said that the portrayer was actually attacked by the dogs. Both of them chuckled as they remembered the incident.
So, it seems that the actor was not severely hurt. She added that the mishap was the reason why Claire's fight against a pack of wolves which was mentioned in the original book did not materialize either, TVLine wrote.
"Outlander" Season 3 will return this Sept. on Starz.
