Although, fans of "Outlander" Season 3 are hoping that Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are dating, Heughan is already in a relationship. However, new reports suggested that his relationship with MacKenzie Mauzy might be fake.

A recent report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry said that the "Outlander" Season 3 star, Sam Heughan is allegedly having a fake relationship with MacKenzie Mauzy. Caitriona Balfe's on-screen partner's silence about reports linking him to Mauzy sparked buzz of a publicity stunt.

Caitriona Balfe's "Outlander" Season 3 Lover, Sam Heughan In A Fake Romance?

For months now, Sam Heughan's relationship with Mauzy is being questioned by fans, since Heughan stepped out with Mauzy for the first time. Reports suggested that their relationship is just a PR-generated one, so fans would no longer link him to Balfe.

The couple has been spotted by the paparazzi once and it was during the Oscars last month. Fans reportedly think that their relationship is not going to last, since Mauzy resides in Los Angeles, while Heughan is busy travelling for his new season of "Outlander."

The publication even stated that televiewers think Heughan's relationship with Mauzy is just a way to stop fans from focusing on him and Balfe's dating reports. However, Balfe has also been in a relationship with Tony McGill for quite a while now.

The couple was last spotted at a pre BAFTA event in London last month. Despite Balfe and Heughan's real life romance with their respective partners, "Outlander" fans still hope to know that they would end up with each other in the future.

"Oulander" Season 3 Updates

Meanwhile, Vulture unveiled that "Outlander" Season 3 reportedly had some edited and deleted scenes, according to Balfe. She said that the crew had to delete some horrible scenes, which shows an actor being attacked by animals.

Apparently, they tried to reenact the book's story, but they could not do it successfully since it was dangerous. “It is such an amazing thing to read it, but you cannot do it in reality,” Balfe shared. “I would have loved to.”

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe will be back on TV for "Outlander" Season 3 in Sept.
