‘Narcos’ Season 3: Pablo Escobar's Son Criticizes Netflix Show
"Narcos" Season 3 is set to be shown this year but Pablo Escobar's son slammed the show for "glorifying" his father's doings.
In an interview with El Periodico, as detailed in Daily Mail, Pablo Escobar's son, Juan Pablo Escobar said that Netflix' "Narcos" has made his father's crimes seem "glamorous." "I am not against telling stories, but I am against glorifying criminals and showing drug trafficking as glamorous," he said of "Narcos." This confuses youths."

Juan Pablo Escobar decided to change his name to Sebastian Marroquin, when his father was gunned down in 1993. He added that "Narcos" has made his father into a hero, which seemed to have encouraged the young to imitate him. He said young people think it is cool to lead a drug cartel and kill thousands.
Sebastian Marroquin added that he received messages asking him how he can help them to be like Pablo Escobar and that they send him photos of them imitating his look. The 39-year-old son of the former drug baron also slammed "Narcos," as he identified 28 mistakes portrayed in the show.
Marroquin fled to Argentina at age 16 when Pablo Escobar died. There, he started his life as a public speaker.
"Narcos" Season 1 and 2 dwelled on Pablo Escobar's Medellin cartel. He was known to oversee a number of smugglers and drug suppliers and has gained millions from his doings. He also fought extradition against the United States and led murders of innocent lives and public officials.
"Narcos" Season 3 This August
Despite Marroquin criticizing the Netflix show, "Narcos" Season 3 is now underway, which shall focus on the Cali cartel, following Pablo Escobar's demise. Express UK said that "Narcos" Season 3 is set to be shown in Netflix by Aug.
Pedro Pascal, who plays as DEA agent Javier Pena, will be back to lead the investigation against Cali cartel. Damian Alcazar will play as Gilberto Rodriguez, the kingpin of the cartel.
