"Diablo 4" release reports are currently gaining ground, as BlizzCon 2017 is coming nearer. The fourth installment of the franchise was even expected to be announced at last year's annual event of Blizzard. However this year, fans are hoping that the game developer will give in to the demands from fans and certainly declare the release date of the fourth game.

Blizzard May Surprise Fans With "Diablo 4" Announcement

The original game of "Diablo" was launched almost 20 years ago and the game developer celebrated two decades of the journey last year. Instead of introducing the fourth game, Blizzard added an extended patch of the original game within "Diablo 3" to entice gamers last year, as a part of the celebration.

While answering questions related to "Diablo 4," the representatives of Corporate Operations at Blizzard said that they were happy with the "Diablo 3" universe and were more interested in coming out with a lot of free content for the game, reports Opp Trends. Although, the EVP of Corporate Operations did not rule out the possibility of a fourth game from the franchise in future, they did not specify a particular "Diablo 4" release date.

"Diablo 4" And Goodie Bag Dice Conspiracy

Those who have been following the game for some time now, must be well aware of the current speculations and reports. The goodie bag of BlizzCon 2016 contained a dice with a non-conventional number on its sides and was named D4. It triggered off buzz that Blizzard is planning to announce "Diablo 4" at its annual event.

Even now, there is no concrete evidence that can suggest that Blizzard will announce the fourth installment in the near future. However, some recent developments indicated that there is a possibility. Recently, the VP/GM at Disney Interactive Studios, Bill Roper returned to Blizzard suggesting that a new game or a sequel may be in development.

"Diablo 3" Season 10 Debut

The Season 10 of the third installment of the franchise debuted on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One a few days ago, said Droid Report. However, it also means that all the previous leaderboards will be wiped out and new ones will be introduced. So fans must get ready to play new characters and compete yet again to have their name at the top of the leaderboards.
