'Call of Duty 4 Remastered' News: Infinity Ward Celebrates St. Patrick's Day Event Featuring New Character, Daybreak Map, Free Supply Drops
It's all about booze and fun this Friday (in real life) thanks to St. Patrick's Day, but for those who are spending time indoors playing "Call of Duty 4 Remastered," there's also some awesome stuff coming to the game this Friday. In fact, Infinity Ward celebrates St. Patrick's Day with an event featuring new character, Daybreak map, and free supply drops. Here are the details every gamer needs to know.
"Call of Duty 4 Remastered": New Character On St. Patrick's Day
According to Gamespot, Infinity Ward will launch a St. Patrick's Day event this Friday and it will feature a new character called Darren "Graves" Cosgrave. In order to unlock the character Graves, players will have to complete three themed collections called "Luck," "Leprechaun," and "Pot o' Gold." Graves will only be unlockable during the St. Patrick's Day event, and for those who will be able to unlock him will be able to keep the character well beyond the event's end date on Apr. 3.
The upcoming St. Patrick's Day event for "Call of Duty 4 Remastered" is called "The Shamrock and Awe" event, which is now live, and will conclude at 3:01 a.m. on Apr. 3. During this period, players will be able to get their hands on themed reticles, calling cards, and emblems, as well as a new shillelagh melee weapon.
In addition, players will also be able to explore the new Daybreak map, which is another version of the Downpour map. Contrary to Downpour, however, Daybreak features ample sunlight, rainbows, and rooms adorned with green balloons and leprechaun images.
Exclusive Themed Weapon Camos, Anyone?
As per VG247, players who participate in the "Call of Duty 4 Remastered" St. Patrick's Day event from Infinity Ward will also be able to get their hands on two new exclusive themed weapon camos called "the Shamrockin' Folium and the rainbowtized Prism." Meanwhile, Those who complete the "Luck" collection will earn Graves the new character, while "Leprechaun" will award players with the Shillelagh weapon.
