There's less than one week to go before "Mass Effect Andromeda" arrives on both consoles and PC, and ahead of its release, BioWare showcased a new video featuring the game's multiplayer. The multiplayer mode will feature five maps when it launches on Mar. 21, and now preloading live for some users.

According to Gamespot, "Mass Effect Andromeda" will be 42.19 GB on Xbox One and 42.9 GB on PlayStation 4. Preloading has also begun for some players. Note, however, that BioWare recommends having at least 55 GB worth of free space to install the game on PC. Players who are looking to try out the game should also know that there is a 10-hour trial for Xbox one and PC via EA/Origin Access beginning tomorrow, Mar. 16.

Meanwhile, VG247 reported that BioWare released a new video showcasing the multiplayer mode of "Mass Effect Andromeda." Once the game launches next week, players will be able to get their hands on as much as 25 character kits, major alien races, and more than 40 unique weapons that utilize alien technologies found in the single-player campaign.

"Mass Effect Andromeda" players can also look forward to exploring five maps, including "Firebase Zero," an outpost that's found on an asteroid, and the "Firebase Icebreaker" that is a fueling station found on an icy planet. There's also the "Firebase Magma," which is a foundry on a lava river, as well as the "Firebase Derelict," which is an abandoned kett ship. Lastly, there's the "Firebase Sandstorm," which as the name suggests can be found in the middle of a desert.
