Julie Plec Teases Possibility Of Another "The Vampire Diaries" Spinoff
Showrunner Plec has indicated that there is another "The Vampire Diaries" spinoff in the pipeline. There is little doubt that fans might have seen it coming, in context to a new story for Caroline (Candice King) when the series finale of "The Vampire Diaries" was being aired.
Caroline starts a school exclusively for supernatural children. It is possible that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) funded the project. So, there is a high chance of a "The Vampire Diaries" spinoff in the future.
Plec told The Hollywood Reporter about her plans for the spinoff. She also admitted that there will be many crossover elements in the new season of "The Originals." But she was also clear that she needs to go for a break before exploring her ideas.
The showrunner said, "There's a lot of different things floating around in my head and the first thing I'm going to do is not write and take a vacation. And then, when Income back on the other side of that, I'm going to go back to work."

But the question hovering in the minds of the fans is when will "The Vampire Diaries" spinoff take place, in case it gets a go-signal from the network. "The Originals" Season 4 will premiere at 8 p.m. on Mar. 17.
