Eat Healthy, The Benefits Of Mantaining Diet Despite Travels [VIDEO]
Diet is a discipline of a religious routine of one's food choice. It is a battle. But what happens when traveling? Is it possible for a frequent traveler to have a normal and healthy diet?
In an interview with CNN, dietitian Lisa Drayer says that frequent travel may put a toll on healthy choices but if one could stick strictly to healthy decisions, then it will not be a problem.
It's easier for people to give up on healthy choices when traveling because of the limited options and desire for ready-to-go meals like fast food- which by the way, are an array of processed food products, the USA Today reports.
Whether the travel is for business or leisure, food choice is much an issue as it is on where to stay for the night. A study shows that obesity is prominent for those who travel for two weeks or more in a month compared to those who travel rarely.
When food is everywhere, it is a struggle to maintain a healthy lifestyle; but with the right attitude with regards to food choice, it can be obtained.
EAT BREAKFAST
With planned events in a trip, breakfast is commonly neglected. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Finish a heart meal before rushing off.
BUY GREENS AND JUICES
Store up healthy greens like a celery maybe, and fruits like orange and apple in your hotel room. This way, chances of going out and bingeing on fast food meals can be slim.
H20 TRAVEL BUDDY
One can never go wrong with water. It is healthy, it hydrates the body. Skip that soda and keep that water bottle handy.
FLY WITH FOOD PACKED
Aside from airplane meals being expensive, a survey found that it serves low-calorie diet food. Pack food and munch on it in a scheduled manner.
According to Drayer, a healthy body is a result of constant healthy choices.
