Spoilers for "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 have been teasing that Rafael will have a not so new woman in his life after his breakup with Abbey. The burning question that had been hovering in the minds of many was whether he will choose Petra or Jane.

'Jane the Virgin' Season 3 Update: Rafael May Fall For past Love

TV Guide had earlier indicated that Rafael (Justin Baldoni) will "passionately reunite" with one of his old flames in the series. But the outlet did not confirm the identity of the woman. However, episode 14 which was recently aired showed a sexy reconnection between Petra and Rafael.

As expected, the face-off between Petra (Yael Grobglas) and Jane (Gina Rodriguez) seem to be never ending and they had a tussle over the election of the room mom. However, the duo did agree that it is time they end their old rivalry.

Despite Rafael's attraction for Petra, some spoilers claim that the chances of a Jane or Petra are 50-50. So, viewers have to wait for some more time to find the ultimate outcome. In the past, though, Petra and Rafael have had several reckless encounters in "Jane the Virgin."

At present, both these characters seem to be leading their separate lives. But many fans would love to see the duo back together.

Ever since Michael's (Brett Dier) death, curiosity has been more to know about the ultimate outcome of Jane and Raf's relationship. Yet, the episodes that followed Michael's demise did not show the duo getting reunited.

However, Bustle had reported in Feb. that there are several signs to indicate that Rafael and Jane may be together at the end. One of the reasons cited by the outlet was that they enjoy a growing camaraderie now.

The source also reasoned that they are more mature now and the friendship can bring them together. However, these are the views of the source and nothing is certain now. It is yet to be seen what happens to Rafael and Jane's relationship at the end.
