After taking its viewers through a chain of mind-blowing adventures, the finale of "Grimm" Season 6 is approaching closer. Spoilers tease that some major showdown is expected to take place in the final episode.

Nick's Journey In "Grimm"

It has been a roller coaster journey for Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), a homicide detective with Portland Police. Nick has got to know that he is descendent of a line of Grimms.

As the end of the sixth and final season soon comes to an end, get set for some extraordinary showdown. The promo of the finale episode teases that the event will involve Nick, his friends, Diana (Hannah R. Loyd), and a skull monster like creature who could turn out to be a devil.

The way things have been going so far, fans can expect that "Grimm" could end on quite a high note. Viewers who have been closely following the show are aware that a majority of the characters, with whom Nick has come in touch have come out with Wesenish tendencies.

Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch), Nick's former girlfriend was changed into a witchy Hexenbiest though, it was not her fault. Juliette's life was made miserable by Adalind (Claire Coffee). The latter got herself pregnant with Nick's child after she transformed into a lookalike of Juliette. Nick was unaware that he slept with a woman who was Adalind and not Juliette, OregonLive.com wrote.

On the brighter side, Nick was lucky to have had his colleagues' support. This include Sgt. Wu (Reggie Lee) and Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby). It appears that the conclusion of "Grimm" is likely to be an explosive and emotional one.

Chances of Another Installment After "Grimm" Season 6

An announcement has been already made by NBC that the series will not be renewed for its seventh season. But the show's executive producer Jim Kouf said that a possibility of the continuation of the show still exists, Stars Post noted.

The EP revealed in an interview that the show has to be ended, as NBC wants it that way. However, if the fans of the show file a petition to get it transferred to Netflix, he is not averse to the idea of adding more story.

"Grimm" Season 6 finale episode is titled "The End" and it will be aired on NBC at 8 p.m. on Friday, Mar, 31.
