"Red Dead Redemption 2" is one of the most awaited video games in 2017. Ever since Rockstar Games announced that it will be releasing the sequel soon, fans are speculating its release date. The latest update includes details related to whether the upcoming game will be a sequel or a prequel or a combination of both.

'Red Dead Redemption 2'- Will It Be A Prequel or Sequel?

The sequel to "Red Dead Redemption" may release in the fall of 2017 or in Oct., according to latest speculations. However, the most common discussion that is currently being carried out is related to whether the storyline of the upcoming Rockstar game will be a prequel or a sequel.

According to RDR2, few clues point out that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be most possibly a sequel. The theme of the first game was set during the Old West period, which ends and the next era is coming in. With the cowboy archetype no more, it is quite possible that its story will be more related to earlier time than move forward.

Apart from that latest hints from the voice actors who are a part of the "Red Dead Redemption 2" also indicated that the upcoming game is most probably a sequel. However, it is quite possible that Rockstar Games weave two story lines together. It means a combination of sequel and prequel cannot be ruled out.

But if that happens players will have to leap backward and then forward while they play "Red Dead Redemption 2."

Latest Hints, Clues And Speculations

There have been some discoveries by fans indicating the possible storyline of "RDR2." Recently few voice actors added "Red Dead Redemption 2" to their resume. One of the names is Rob Wiethoff, who played John Marston in the previous game, reports Kokatu.

It also indicates that John Marston and his old crew is back, which means that there is huge possibility that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is a prequel rather than a sequel.
