Released in 2015, "Rocket League" is the highly acclaimed vehicular soccer video game developed and published by Psyonix. The game is now playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and OS X, and the studio has released something new for fans of the game.

The new, completely free Dropshot Mode, trades in ball for electrified bombshells that creates holes in the player's opponent's side. Goalposts are now replaced with hexagons that players must punch through with the electrified ball.

Dropshot Mode

According to Gamespot, the Dropshot Mode for "Rocket League" introduces a fresh take on the game, as it no longer deals with goalposts to score. Instead, players must use the electrified ball to punch holes in the hexagonal floors of his or her opponent.

As per Engadget, players need to hit the hexagon twice to destroy it. Once it gets destroyed, the player will score and the hole will be repaired. Repeat as necessary to gather points.

What Else To Look Forward To?

To make things even more exciting, player can also electrify the ball to create splash damage when it hits the ground. "Rocket League" players can get the best out of the new Dropshot Mode by fully powering it so it can smash up to 19 panels. Meanwhile, the new Dropshot Mode patch also features some great new content. It includes three new cosmetic items for players' vehicles, including an Easter egg antenna ball and two roof decorations in the form of an Easter basket and a set of bunny ears.
