John Mayer and Katy Perry were a celebrity couple almost three years ago. After that, the "Rise" singer started dating Orlando Bloom and they were inseparable for almost a year. Recently, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom announced their breakup almost a month ago and it seems John Mayer has another chance of getting closer to Perry.

Mayer Still Writes Katy-Inspired Songs

Recently, the 39-year-old singer gave an intimate interview in which he revealed his current dating status as well as his affinity towards Perry. John Mayer said that he has been through rehab and is right now using exclusive match making an app for dating, reports USA Today.

However, he also made a surprising revelation by saying that he still writes songs about his relationship with an ex-girlfriend whom he dated on and off for more than a year. While opening about his recent Perry-inspired songs titled, "Still Feel Like Your Man," he narrated some very interesting lovelorn lyrics that indicated how much he still remembers Perry and the time spent with her.

John Mayer Confesses He Had Real Relationship Only With Perry

When asked about whom he is talking the guitarist said that he has not dated lot of people in the last few years, reports Mashable. His association with Perry was his only relationship said, John Mayer. Most of his latest songs indicate his heartbreak. However, according to Mayer his new record, titled, "The Search for Everything," goes beyond being a breakup album.

John Mayer revealed that there were times when he cried remembering the on and off relationship and for him it is something profound. Rather it seems that the singer now regrets his old bad-boy days and spoilt lifestyle. John Mayer reportedly even regrets dating fellow stars, Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift and giving crazy interviews.
