There is buzz in the world of gaming lately, which suggests that a TV series for "Assassin's Creed" will soon see the light of the day. Moreover, it is possible that the series will be streamed on Netflix, since it is a popular viewing platform these days.

"Assassin's Creed" Update: Possibility Of TV Adaptation

According to a report by IGN, The news of Ubisoft planning to create a new television series inspired by the game started from Reddit, courtesy of Aymara Azaizia. Incidentally, Azaizia is the head of content for "Assassin's Creed."

He revealed some interesting tidbits about the possibility of a television adaptation: "It's like the movie guys, we will take our time to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of."

It was last year that the "Assassin's Creed" film was released, where Michael Fassbender was seen as Callum. Though there was a lot of hype, the film enjoyed only modest success at the Box Office and did not receive great reviews from the critics.

The outlet also asked Ubisoft to find out their intention on this potential series. But as of date, the company is yet to respond to the source on this matter.

"Assassin's Creed": Possibility Of Netflix Streaming

However, it looks like there is a high likelihood of the airing of the series. As of recent, Netflix appears to be the front-runner for streaming the show when a report by Reuters spoke about the platform while referring to Ubisoft.

Another report from IGN last year mentioned that there are talks between Ubisoft and Netflix for a new television series. But at that point in time, there was no indication as to the details of that series. However, it now seems likely that they could have been discussing the adaptation of "Assassin's Creed".
