The author is not only known for his media projects but also for his contribution to the top-rating TV show "Game of Thrones" on HBO. Consequently, Martin is taking quite a lot of time to complete the rest of the books in the series. So, it is little wonder that "The Winds of Winter" will be delayed than what fans had initially expected, The Christian Today wrote.
Meanwhile, George R.R. Martin is also busy with his production facility or studio that has been set up inside a 30,000 sq. ft. building. The writer wants to make this facility available for well-known, as well as new filmmakers in Hollywood.
Renowned director duo Ethan Coen and Joel Coen who are known for their classic films like "The Big Lebowski" and "No Country for Old Men" are said to have approached Martin for using the latter's facility for their new projects. Javier Gonzales, the mayor of Santa Fe feels that the writer's Stagecoach Studio will play a big role to boost the economy of New Mexico.
It is yet to be seen how busy Martin becomes with his Stagecoach Foundation. But Cinema Blend feels this will further be added to an already long list of responsibilities for the writer. Many will remember that his past responsibilities have delayed the completion of book series.

In Feb. this year, Martin told an outlet that he has plans of adding a new twist to the plot, which will digress from the storyline of the HBO show. Martin also added that his fans are aware of his writing style.
So, if there are a few changes in the book, it will make the novel distinct from the television series. As of late, writer, George R.R. Martin is yet to declare the release date of "The Winds of Winter."
