'The Mummy' News & Update: New Trailer Arrives This Sunday
If you were one of those moviegoers whose interest was sparked by the recently released "The Mummy" trailer, here's something new to look forward to. The new trailer is reportedly arriving on Sunday (Apr. 2), and it will feature another glimpse at the upcoming film from Universal. The highly anticipated film is directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie, who is also the man behind "Mission: Impossible 6."
Expect Full Length Trailer On Sunday
According to Screenrant, the new trailer arriving on Apr. 2 for "The Mummy" will be a full-length one, compared to the first trailer that was released. Back in Jan., the studio released a first look at the upcoming Tom Cruise starrer, "The Mummy," featuring a new threat to humanity: Princess Ahmanet. According to Cinema Blend, the film will follow her awakening after "her destiny" was taken from her thousands of years ago.

"The Mummy" Details
"The Mummy" stars Tom Cruise as Nick Norton, Sofia Boutella as Princess Ahmanet (the Mummy herself), Annabell Wallis as Jenny Halsey, Jake Johnson as Sgt. Vail, Courtney B. Vance as Col. Gideon Forster, and Russell Crowe as as Dr. Henry Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. There is also set to be a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde film, starring Crowe sometime in the next year. "The Mummy" will be the launchpad for the Universal Monsters cinematic universe, which will also include The Invisible man, Wolf Man, Van Helsing, and others.
