The fan of Beyonce who reportedly had a chance to have a video call with her, died of cancer last weekend. Beyonce fan, Ebony Banks from Houston, who made headlines in the past few days for having the chance to FaceTime with the pregnant singer, succumbed to her cancer after her wish was granted.

Days after Beyonce had a FaceTime session with Ebony, the teenage cancer-stricken fan died early Sunday morning. The report was confirmed by a representative from Alief Independent School District said.

Beyonce Fan Died After Wish Granted

"I understand she had a smile on her face till the very end," the rep told in a report by USA Today. After she was pronounced dead, her batch mates from the said school dedicated a vigil for her in their school's lot.

In one social media post, students of Ebony's school raised their candles for the fan with Beyonce's "Halo" as their background music. Her school mates were also the ones who arranged the FaceTime meet-up of Beyonce and Ebony. After the virtual meet-up, Ebony was happy to pose with her friends and family members who were there to arrange the call.

Beyonce Tells Fan She Loves Her

Weeks ago, they made the hashtag @EbobMeetsBeyonce, which has reached the "Lemonade" singer. Beyonce then called Ebony through FaceTime, where the fan told her how much she adores and loves her.

Beyonce then replied, "I love you" to Ebony. This was said to be the final wish of the fan before her death. Ebony started undergoing chemotherapy last Sept. after discovering she has cancer in summer last year.

Her school also organized a special graduation ceremony for the Beyonce fan at MD Anderson. It was reported that Ebony has attended graduation practices before she was diagnosed with cancer. It was attended by over 100 people, including batchmates, relatives, schoolmates, friends, and family members.
