"The Winds of Winter" writer, George R.R. Martin is not amused with certain false reports floating on the web about one of his new projects. He is involved into it while not working on "The Winds of Winter."

George R.R. Martin Unhappy With Inaccurate Reports On His Project

"The Winds of Winter" is the sixth book in Martin's series titled "A Song of Ice and Fire." Recently, there were innumerable articles that reported the writer is opening a nonprofit movie studio, which will operate from a sprawling 30,000 so. ft. building.

It was also being reported that this studio is situated in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the author's hometown. Some articles even wrote that the Coen brothers have booked the facility for their next project.

But, the response from Martin was that of irritation, as he mentioned in his blog that some of those reports were not completely accurate. The writer appeared to be unhappy with the kind of reports that were doing rounds on the web on his Stagecoach Foundation initiative.

In fact, he mentioned a list of corrections to the reports that he considered published inaccurate details. For instance, he mentioned that the area of the Stagecoach building that was published was not correct since, in reality, it is one-third of 30,000 sq. ft.

Moreover, the author also clarified that he was not the person to "build" Stagecoach. George R.R. Martin added that it was David Weininger who should be credited with that feat, way back in 1999. At that time, it was his company's headquarters.

Last but not the least, the author stressed on the fact that he is not going to open a film studio. Martin said that Stagecoach has been set up as a non-profit foundation, which will strive to bring in a greater number of TV and film production to his hometown, UPROXX reported. But it is not a studio according to the writer.

"The Winds of Winter" Completion Update

There is no doubt that Martin is passionate about this project, when he is not working on other books. But his admirers and readers have just one question in their minds. They would love to by what date Martin will finish his  "The Winds of Winter", Quartz noted.

His readers will remember that it was way back in 2011 when "A Dance with Dragons," the fifth book in the series was published, However, since then, though Martin has provided occasional updates about his book's progress to his fans, the launching date is not yet certain.

He had earlier said that the book will be completed by Halloween 2015. Yet even after one year later, the release date is still unclear.
