According to a recent report from Mobipicker, Justin Roiland, one of the creators and showrunners of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 wants to cancel the next season. Fortunately, Roiland was just joking around about the cancellation, which means the show is still on, so fans should not worry at all.

Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's "Rick and Morty" Season 3 has been expected to air last year, however the show has been delayed because of some production issues. As season 3 gets delayed in its release date, reports and speculations only increase the hype.

Avid fans of the animated series know that in the previous season, the earth was controlled by the Galactic Federation. Rick was captured by the GF and might be facing a dangerous situation.

Reports claimed that he might be put to jail for a lifetime. However, Harmon states that the new season will not focus on Rick's life in prison, as he will be able to escape jail with the help of friends.

Meanwhile, Blasting News said that the release date of the new season of "Rick and Morty" does not rely on the discretion of Adult Swim despite the buzz surrounding it. The staff and writers of the show are currently working on the development of the episodes and voice over of the scenes. A writer even teased fans, when a photo of the title episode was shared on social media.

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 will be arriving in small screens this year. However, the release date is not yet confirmed nor announced by the creators, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon.
