Tom Cruise is doing something special in his upcoming movie, "The Mummy". As usual, the flick will be full of adventure, action-packed scenes, and suspense. Interestingly, one of the shots of the terror shows that the "Mission: Impossible" star dies in a plane crash.

Deep Hole, Ravenous Rats, and Plane Crashing In "The Mummy"

The latest Tom Cruise film trailer reveals suggestive shots, indicating ravenous rats, men falling down in a deep hole, getting trapped and drowned, and crashing of the plane. The movie is a reboot of a previous flick with the same name and fans will see the superstar for the first time in this genre. "The Mummy" releases on June 9, 2017, reports Toronto Sun.

As expected, the upcoming Tom Cruise movie will have people chased by swimming zombies, people mummified and buried alive, and stalked by big and hairy spiders. The extended trailer released at CinemaCon introduced the movie as a bold, romantic epic, and terrifying monster film. Not surprisingly, the emphasis was more on the word "terrifying."

Tom Cruise Character Dies In Plane Crash?

The movie, as expected takes place in an Egyptian city. The trailer shows the opening up of a sinkhole, that violently sucks up everything around it - including building and cars. Tom Cruise barely manages to save himself from the clutches of the deep hole, which is miles deep and attracts a group of explorers towards it.

There is a casket of Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) who is mummified and sealed because of her murderous and bloody intentions, reports Mashable. As the heroes and characters of "The Mummy" go deeper in the sinkhole, Jenny Halsey (Annabelle Wallis) says that it is not a tomb but a prison. And then, together they put the casket in a cargo plane that incidentally also carries Tom Cruise.

The trailer shows that the plane crashes, meaning that the character of the superstar also dies in the crash. Later on, he wakes up in a body bag and a voice is heard, telling Tom Cruise that he is alive because he has been chosen by the ultimate evil. Stay tuned for more updates on Tom Cruise and "The Mummy."
