'American Gods' Spoilers: Opening Credits, Character Posters, And More News Updates

Starz recently released the newest updates for "American Gods." The network shared the opening sequence, which included some of the elements that fans should watch out for.

According to Screencrush, the creative team collaborated with Elastic to work on the visual-heavy opening sequence. It shows various characters, as they fight for the top spot in the giant totem.
The 96-second clip featured the ongoing battle between the old and the new Gods. Some of the details included muscle cars, an astronaut on a cross, and metal centaurs. The show also included the iconic neon cowboy landmark from Las Vegas.
Showrunners Brian Fuller and Michael Green shared some trivia about the latest update. The two shared their interest in adding weird action figures in the short teaser.
"Is it strange to want action figures from the main title sequence?" Fuller said." "A totem of godly visions we didn’t know we needed to worship until they showed us the light with this clarion call to the ‘American Gods."
The Plot Of "American Gods"
Starz created the upcoming TV series from Neil Gaiman's award-winning novel of the same title. "Hannibal" creator, Bryan Fuller and "Logan" writer, Michael Green developed the series for the cable network.
"American Gods" follows the adventures of an ex-con named Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle). He felt lost when his wife, Laura (Emily Browning) died. As a result, he became a bodyguard for the mysterious Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane).
Little did he know, Shadow's boss is a powerful god in the past. He is now planning to create an army to conquer the whole world.
"American Gods" Characters, Release Date, And More
Starz previously unveiled the posters for the "American Gods" characters. According to Nerdist, these photos also included the titles and the roles of each deity.
Shadow held his signature gold coin. Meanwhile, several crows are on top of Wednesday's shoulders. Joining them is Laura (Emily Browning), Shadow's deceased, lover.
