"Outlander" stars, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have made it clear that they are not dating one another, despite many reports on their romance. According to the latest buzz, it is now being said that MacKenzie Mauzy, Heughan's girlfriend caused the break-up of these two actors.

Fans of the "Outlander" series are aware that the show has had several hot scenes between Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe's on-screen characters Jamie and Claire. Moreover, the duo portrayed the scenes quite convincingly, which seems to be one of the key reasons why talks just do not stop about the actors being interested in each other, romantically.

Meanwhile, it is relevant to note that it was only last month that Heughan was seen actress, Mackenzie Mauzy. This prompted some outlets to report that these two are dating one another. There was another interesting report recently, which claimed it was Mauzy's proximity to the actor that led to the break-up of Heughan and Balfe, The Christian Post wrote.

Balfe had earlier admitted that she gets tired of speaking on this issue. The petite actress added, "This fantasy. This is our job. We are very different in our private life. We are best friends."

Heughan on the other, had something amusing to say on the matter. He joked, "I think I'm just waiting for the moment that she's had too much whiskey and then we'll agree to it."

Viewers will see several new faces in the upcoming season. Some of them include characters like Mr. Willoughby, Mary McNab, and the Dunsany sisters, The Tribune Voice reported. Meanwhile, Diana Gabaldon, the author of the series, will be also in South Africa to meet the cast on the set. The writer will also observe as filming continues but she will not be a part of it.

Earlier, viewers saw her in a cameo role on the show. But this time she is there simply to watch the shoot of the new episodes and assist the team.

"Outlander" Season 3 will have 13 episodes. However, viewers will have to wait for some time as the new season is scheduled to premiere in Sept. 2017 on Starz.
