The 52nd ACM Awards was held last Sunday (Apr. 2) in Las Vegas. Winners include the longstanding winner, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, and Lori McKenna.
In a recent report from The Tennessean, Miranda Lambert has broken the record of Reba McEntire's winning record in country music. The "Vice" singer was awarded two ACM awards, as she won the Album Of The Year for her double disc record, "The Weight of These Wings."

Miranda Lambert was inspired by her divorce to write heartbreak songs, in which she put into record. The "Over You" singer reportedly used her pain to write new songs for her "The Weight of These Wings" music album. "Thank you for letting me ease my heartbreak, and sharing it with me," Lambert said while standing at the podium, as she referred to her divorce from Blake Shelton.
Miranda Lambert Broke The Record
Lambert also brought the "Female Vocalist Award," which means she has a total of eight trophies from ACM. Lambert tied with Reba McEntire last year and now she broke the record of the longstanding ACM wins.
“I cannot even believe I can say that,” Lambert responded about breaking McEntire’s winning record. “I am really so thrilled that I can still help lead the charge for women in this business at any level, songwriters, anybody behind the scenes, managers, whatever it is. I am just thrilled I can keep pushing forward and making a way for other women to do the same thing. I am really humbled by it.”
Meanwhile, ABC News reported that country singers like Jason Aldean and Thomas Rhett also won their trophies during the ACM Awards 2017. Aldean won the "Entertainer of the Year" award, which was awarded to him by the guitarist of Eagles, Joe Walsh. Rhett scored two wins, which are "Song of the Year" for his song, "Die A Happy Man" and "Male Vocalist of the Year."
Country fans are happy to see that Miranda Lambert is still humble despite snapping Reba McEntire's longstanding record during the latest ACM Awards 2017.
