The wait for “Avatar 2” was expected to be over very soon but the recent postponing of the movie dampened all hopes of fans. Sigourney Weaver, who played the role of Dr. Grace Augustine in the original movie, said that the shooting for the much-awaited sequel will commence in autumn this year. Hence, it is never possible to make the film ready by 2018.

The director of upcoming “Avatar 2” movie, James Cameron has marked his position in Hollywood for his groundbreaking and remarkable movies like “Titanic,” “The Terminator,” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” - including “Avatar” in 2009. Now, the 62-year old director has already finished working on the script.

“We’re starting! We’re starting training, and we’re starting — hmm, I probably can’t say anything. We will be actually shooting it by the fall,” Sigourney Weaver said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

The “Exodus: Gods and Kings” actress further assured the “Avatar” fans, through her short interview that the script is beautiful and amazing. They are actually confident about the script and she said the entire movie will highly be taken by the global audience after such a long wait. In other words, she emphasized that the sequels will be well worth the wait. However, she further said that they are trying to get it done as quickly as possible.

According to Screenrant, James Cameron earlier took a big risk with the release of three hours and 15 minutes long “Titanic” and the movie not only broke all the records of the time, it won 11 Oscars including the awards for Best Picture and Best Director. Hence, “Avatar” fans should wait for the movie, as they are bound to be treated with something remarkable.
