‘The Expendables 4’ Update: Sylvester Stallone Says Goodbye; Avi Lerner’s Opinion On Their Disagreement
Avid fans of “The Expendables 4” will surely feel distress to know that one of their favorite action superstars, Sylvester Stallone has finally walked away from the franchise. The 70-year-old actor has withdrawn himself from taking part in the fourth installment, although he was reportedly offered a mammoth amount for it.
Multiple Reasons Why Sylvester Stallone Said Goodbye To “The Expendables 4”
The purpose behind his takeoff from the highly-anticipated movie, “The Expendables 4” was supposedly creative variations with the producer, Avi Lerner, who runs the production company named Nu Image/Millennium Films. On various aspects of developing the movie, they could not go side by side - such as the selection of a new director, alterations in script, and a few qualitative elements that he felt would always be better for the film, as reported by The Christian Post.
Sources like Movie Pilot also revealed that one of the major factors for the “Rambo” actor to walk away from “The Expendables 4” was his fear and doubt of being tangled with one more underwhelming sequel. He emphasized this decision after his successful way back to the global viewers’ minds as Rocky Balboa in the highly acclaimed 2015’s blockbuster movie, “Creed.”
Avi Lerner Gives A Different Opinion On His Disagreement With Stallone
On the other hand, it seems Avi Lerner is not happy with Stallone’s exit from the fourth installment of the franchise. He opined that it was not the first time they had any disagreement, rather it was over a year and a half old.
Despite this, according to Lerner, they still agreed on 95% of things but still they had few things in production they did not agree on. However, he never thinks it’s over with Stallone but media people can write whatever they want, he finally cited.
“The Expendables 4” is supposed to hit the big screen in 2018 but it is doubted now, mainly after this big loss to the franchise. Stay tuned for more updates.
