One Direction has backed a family-run charity since its inception in 2012. However, the accounts of this group has been frozen, following mismanagement and misconduct allegations. Check out all the details.

According to The Guardian, "Believe in Magic" was co-founded by the mother, Jean Bhari and her daughter, Meg a couple of years ago when the latter was diagnosed with a brain tumor. However, the organization has come under scanning and the Charity Commission is currently investigating its accounts. The investigation has started, following multiple complaints, reports the source.

One Direction Stars Attend Fundraising Ball

The members of One Direction have supported the charity group right from the start and have been its ambassadors. Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson even attended the fundraising Cinderella Ball arranged in Aug. 2015. A party was also organized at Downing Street when David Cameron served as prime minister.

Apart from One Direction members, the organization also received support from other celebrities including Fearne Cotton, Professor Green, Little Mix, Jessie J, Olly Murs, Michael Buble, and Pixie Lott. The problem arose when the charity failed to file its annual accounts, which have been due for more than seven months.

Over the years, the charity has received a lot of donations from fundraising events and celebrities, including One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson, who donated £2m to the cause. The regulator will now assess the accounts and mismanagement complaints and will take a decision whether the charity should continue or be closed.

One Direction Stars Not As Close As Before?

The buzz started when no one wished Liam Payne well, after he became a proud father of a baby boy. There has not been much connection between the One Direction boys lately. According to J-14, Liam even went alone at the BRIT Awards, representing the whole group - even when most of the members were just in the UK.
