'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Episode 2: Boruto Finds New Rival, It's Not Kawaki [VIDEO]

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 2 will air on Wednesday, Apr. 12, 2017. Read on for more details.

"The Next Generations" starts with the infamous time jump similar to the manga. An older Boruto faces off with a mysterious character, Kawari. Both of the guys sported some tattoos all over their bodies.

Boruto and Kawaki had the fight on top of the seemingly destroyed Konoha mountain. The latter warned Boruto that he will join his father soon. However, Boruto relayed that he is still a shinobi of this word.

There is still no news when their battle will take place. However, he said scene hints on what the future might hold for Boruto. It also expands the entire storyline for the "Naruto" franchise.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Synopsis

The new anime will feature a modernized Konoha. Throughout the years, Naruto and his people have embraced the importance of technology in the Shinobi world as well. According to the synopsis from IGN, it will have a huge effect on the ninjas' way of living.

Boruto starts off by saying that this story will be about him and not his father. He is actually the son of Naruto, the seventh Hokage of Konoha and the main star of the successful franchise.

This might have an effect on his relationship with his fellow ninjas. The promo trailer shows that Boruto may have found a new rival, Inojin.

Inojin is the son of Sai and Ino. Their rivalry is not a new thing since their fathers (Naruto and Sai) did not get along at first.

Inojin then said that he thinks Boruto uses his lineage to his advantage. He added that Naruto's son is not worth trusting.

In the preview, it was not revealed on what is their fight all about. But this might be an activity at the school since Boruto jumped over a wooden wall. He is also seen fighting another student who wore a black and red ensemble.
