Medical marijuana is legalized in some states. In fact, the latest update is that medical marijuana can already be delivered from a dispensary in New York State. Columbia Care has launched a pilot program that delivers medical marijuana to homes in Western New York.

Columbia Care NY is one provider for medical marijuana in Rochester. It began a pilot program that actually delivers the medication to the patient's homes from its medical marijuana dispensary in New York State. The delivery service for the medication will be available within the Western New York area as reported by WGRZ.com.

The company's availability for medical marijuana delivery is within the Rochester area. For now, the service is available in Monroe County. Columbia Care has four medical marijuana dispensaries and the locations are in New York City, Pittsburgh, Riverhead and Rochester.

It has one medical marijuana manufacturing facility. The company also indicated that it wants to achieve a wider coverage for the delivery service in the future. There already are more patients that are legally prescribed to get the medication and Columbia Care wishes to cater to all. In time there will be more medical marijuana dispensaries in New York State other than the ones existing now.

Vireo Health is also another medical marijuana manufacturing facility. The company already received a state approval for home deliveries of the said medication. The location for the deliveries of the said company would be in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.

Meanwhile, Columbia Care is following the secure home delivery protocols. This is to ensure that patients prescribed with medical marijuana will get the exact amount of medication delivered. The program also makes it easier for patients that are prescribed with the medication according to WHEC.

Most of the patients that are being prescribed with medical marijuana are with life-threatening or chronic diseases. This makes for them hard to travel and get the prescribed medicine. Columbia Care's pilot program for home deliveries is handy for these patients. The medical marijuana dispensary in New York State is  big help to these patients.

The patients need not go anywhere to get the prescribed medical marijuana since Columbia Care does it for them.
