‘Criminal Minds’ Season 13 Approval & Season 12 Spoilers: Reid's Future Undecided; Derek Morgan Returns

'Criminal Minds' Extension And Moore's Return
According to Variety, CBS has renewed "Criminal Minds" for one more season. It will be the 19th series receiving an extension from the network.
Apart from the extension, the series has other good news for fans. One of the celebrated actors of the show, Shemar Moore will be returning to the "Criminal Minds" Season 12 finale to reprise his famous role as Derek Morgan.
The new episodes will resume on Apr. 26, featuring three final episodes of "Criminal Minds" Season 12. Hence, fans will have to wait around a fortnight to see their favorite stars back on the screen.
Although nothing much is known regarding the story line of the upcoming episodes, CarterMatt said that Mr. Scratch will be there until the last episode. Moore will come back as Morgan in the last episode of "Criminal Minds" Season 12.
The sources said that Morgan will bring some news on the Big Bad and will serve as an asset to the investigation. Reports indicated that the production team has decided to get Morgan back to boost the dropping ratings of the show.
Reid And His Story To Continue Until Next Season?
The top BAU agent, Spencer Reid will certainly be one of the major focuses of the upcoming "Criminal Minds" Season 12. After giving so much importance to his plot, the showrunners surely will have a plausible solution in the end that will ensure his freedom.
But it is not clear as of yet whether his story will be completed in the current season or will be carried on to "Criminal Minds" Season 13.
