'Mission Impossible' 6 Starts Production; Tom Cruise Seen In France

"Mission Impossible" 6 is now set to start filming, as Tom Cruise was spotted in France for its pre-production. Director Christopher McQuarrie and its cinematographer Rob Hardy confirmed that the popular action franchise "Mission: Impossible" 6 will start filming as they both posted in their social media account.

McQuarrie posted a snap with a clapperboard with "MI: 6" in its title. Hardy, meanwhile, posted his own clapperboard, with the text "Light the fuse."

This came following the news that Tom Cruise, who plays as agent Ethan Hunt, was spotted in Paris for its start of pre-production. This is the fourth time Tom Cruise and McQuarrie will be working together on a film. The first two was in the movies "Edge of Tomorrow" and Valkyrie." In 2015, they worked together in "Rogue Nation."

"Mission Impossible" 6 will also see the return of characters Luther Stickell, played by Ving Rhames, Benji Dun (Simon Pegg), and Iisa Faust, played by Rebecca Ferguson, Deadline said in a report.

"Mission Impossible" 6 Welcomes Some New Characters

Incoming characters to watch out for include "Batman V Superman" actor, Henry Cavill, and "The Crown" actress, Vanesa Kirby. Also included is Sian Brooke of "Sherlock."

Actor, Jeremy Renner, who played William Brandt in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" and "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" will not return for the movie. The actor will have to set aside his character as he will be filming "Avengers: Infinity War," Screen Rant said in a report.

There has not been any confirmation if he will return in the next installments. "Mission Impossible" 6 was also confirmed to be filming in London, New Zealand, and India.

The franchise started way back in 1996 by Paramount and was followed by another two sequels. The best reviews in the box office were the 2011 sequel "Ghost Protocol."
