The hit BBC drama "Poldark" is all set to return to TV screens for the fourth time. "Poldark" star, Aidan Turner recently revealed that filming for season 4 will start later this year.

The actor recently spoke to BFT & Radio Times Television Festival held in London and confirmed that his period TV series would start shooting later this year, The Sun reported. Turner, 33, who plays the role of the key protagonist Ross Poldark in the series, mentioned. "We've planned series four, we actually start filming in September."

"Poldark" Season 2 concluded last year and an announcement for season 3 was also made. Season 3 has been adapted from Winston Graham's book five and six, titled "The Black Moon" and "The Four Swans" respectively. During the Q&A session of South Bank, Turner was accompanied by Damien Timmer, who also said yes to the decision.

Meanwhile, writer Debbie Horsfield who adopted the books penned by Graham has shared that the identity of the father of Elizabeth's (Heida Reed) child will be uncertain for some time. The BAFTA awards winner shared with Express.co.uk and other outlets that it is not sure whether Ross was the father of Elizabeth's unborn baby.

Horsfield was discussing the storyline of season 3 and said, "The books are really ambiguous about it, it's never said, 'Oh, it's obviously Ross' baby.'" The writer also said that while many would definitely desire it, it should be for the sake of the drama - since the storyline will be more interesting.

The book does not spell it correctly at this phase. But she also added, "We're not saying at this stage either." She mentioned that she personally feels that both Aidan Turner's Ross and Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) may not be having discussions related to the Elizabeth episode.

"Poldark" Season 3 will primarily focus on the controversial love triangle, while there is ambiguity about who could be the father of Elizabeth's baby. Moreover, George (Jack Farthing), the evil banker could create further tensions.
