Maps For Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Available In The Detroit Area [VIDEO]
A new tool for tracking the legal status of medical marijuana has been unveiled in Detroit. This interactive map helps patients locate medical marijuana dispensaries all over the city.
There is a new way for medical marijuana users to track down where the dispensaries are located in the Detroit area. There are already 60 dispensaries that are able to operate in the city while 120 shops are in the application stage according to Michigan Radio.
There are already plenty of patients in Detroit that use medical marijuana. It is likely that the maps for medical marijuana are helpful for these patients. Marvin Jamo, an owner of a medical marijuana caregiver center shared that different people from different walks of life use the medication.
He also noted that it is best to have the facilities within the whole city so it would be convenient for these patients. Jamo's shop has already gained the entire operational permit in the city and is one of three of these dispensaries.
Maps for medical marijuana are a convenient way to locate these stores. It will make patients get access easily for their medication needs. For Jamo, this program is a way for all people to get along. The growers and the distributors get along well.
Meanwhile, there have been 161 shops that have been shut down by authorities due to lack of the city's requirements to operate. The ordinance has been passed in 2015 as reported by M Live. The interactive map will show patients what stores are open and those that are still in the process of getting a permit.
The website for this interactive map will be updated every Monday at 4 p.m. The updates will show what the developments will be with regard to the dispensaries within Detroit. It is indicated that medical marijuana dispensaries cannot operate 1,000 feet from the school library, child care centers, arcades and outdoor recreational activities.
