"Outlander" Season 3 is based on Diana Gabaldon's third book in the series titled "Voyager". The writer hinted that she will not be seen in any cameos in the future. Meanwhile, actor Scott Kyle expresses how the crew only had eyes for Sam Heughan in a particular shot.

Fans will see their favorite stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in an exciting sea voyage, as they play the parts of Jamie and Claire respectively. They have already shared a set photo, indicating what is in store for their viewers.

But it seems that the show's viewers should not expect Diana Gabaldon to appear in a cameo this time around, Goldderby wrote. Viewers will remember her special appearance in "Outlander" Season 2. Gabaldon confirmed on Twitter, "I've never had an acting bug."

This statement has made the possibility of her appearing on the drama quite less likely. She added, "They asked me to do the cameo in season one, to entertain you guys." Gabaldon had a brief cameo in an episode in season 1, which was titled "The Gathering."

Her fans from all over the world got excited when they saw her in the role of Iona MacTavish, wife of a rich merchant. This role was specially written for the author and she wore a beautiful dress created specifically by the costume department for her.

The writer revealed that she does not usually dress up for her role. She further said, "I have two whole lines, which I said with a very Scottish accent, I assure you."

"Outlander" Star Sam Heughan Upstaged Scott Kyle

In other news, The Scottish Sun reported that actor, Scott Kyle mentioned that he remembers an incident when his co-star, Sam Heughan upstaged him on the set when they both took their tops off. Kyle said that the production team only had eyes for Heughan. 

The actor said first he had taken his top off as his character was supposed to get a lashing for not doing his duties properly. He was very glad about his performance. But just three hours later, Heughan also had to take his top off and Kyle found that the females simply went crazy as they screamed.
