'Outlander' Star Sam Heughan Faces Competition From John Bell; Magnificent Humanitarian Side Of Extras Revealed
In an interesting development, teen actor John Belt reportedly claimed that he can give his "Outlander" co-star, Sam Heughan a run for his money. On the other hand, a group of extras from the hit Starz drama reveal their benevolent and humanitarian side.
"Outlander" Extras Join Hands For Noble Cause
Andy McAlindon, who is an extra in the "Outlander" series, joined hands with actor, Scott Kyle in a noble gesture to extend help to Holly McLeod, a six-year-old girl. The initiative is being undertaken through the RBS Kiltwalk, The Gazette.
The duo was joined by other extras. The entire team will embark upon a 23-mile stride on Apr. 30 in the Glasgow Kiltwalk. Jon Fan Duncan, 47' another extra in "Outlander" also learned about Holly's severe health condition and decided to help the little girl's family to raise funds.
Andy, 39. is from Kilmacolm and mentioned, "We worked as extras during series two and three of Outlander and we just clicked. We had so much fun together and forged a strong friendship." The other members of the group include Barry Stewart, Jay Graham, and Grant McGregor
Meanwhile, "Outlander" star, Kyle, who portrays the character of Ross in the time travel drama, acknowledged, "I'm so proud of the guys. Getting their Jacobite gear on and walking all that way to raise money for such a worthwhile cause is commendable."

In other news, The Scottish Sun reported that the teen actor John Bell has stated that he can give his fellow actor Sam Heughan a run for his money. The actor, 19, will be seen in the upcoming "Outlander" Season 3.
The young actor of the popular Starz show hopes that he will be able to follow Heughan's footsteps. Heughan plays the lead role of Jamie in the series. The actor has won over admirers and fans from all over the world.
Bell has previously appeared as Bain in "The Hobbit" movies. However, he was unprepared for the tremendous adulation he received after being cast as young Ian, Jamie Fraser's nephew. The actor said, "I didn't realize what a worldwide phenomenon the show is."
"Outlander" Season 3 returns this Sept. on Starz.
