After a long hiatus, “Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 has released a new extended trailer. As many fans know, the completion of season 4 was done with an absolute cliffhanger.

Now, viewers are expecting more from the Netflix series to answer previous questions that were left hanging. Get to know more details, here.

The new trailer released for “Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 showed that Dayanara Diaz aka Daya (Dascha Polanco) has not pulled the trigger yet. However, just before the clip ended, a loud sound of the gunshot was heard. Fans are sure that something must have taken place that was not seen in the trailer.

It was already seen that Daya somehow managed to get the guard’s gun. Then, the sudden gunshot made Cal Chapman (Michael Chernus) and Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) look back.

The sudden ending of the trailer raised multiple questions - Did she pull the trigger and shot prison officer, Thomas Humphrey aka Humps (Michael Torpey)? There is another probability that some other person with an extra gun in the could have released the bullet from a distant range.

An Unidentified Person May Be The Cause Of Humps’ Death

On the other hand, according to Korea Portal, there may be someone in the upcoming episodes of “Orange Is The New Black” Season 5, who takes the gun from Daya and kills Humps - ending the trailer with another cliffhanger. This left off multiple possible endings and viewers are passionately waiting for the fifth season to be released.

Showrunner and series creator, Jenji Kohan recently said that “Orange Is The New Black” will continue for another two seasons until it ends with season 7. “Three more years. Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things,’ she said in a statement at the end of season four. ‘Thanks Netflix!” Kohan said, as reported by Metro.

“Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 is slated to hit the small screen on June 9.
