Rey's Parentage To Be Revealed in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"

According to NME, Episode VIII will surely address the much-speculated subject of parents of Rey, said Johnson. He also revealed that the identity of Rey's parents will be different, depending on to whom the question is put. Many theories indicated that Rey is a Skywalker, whereas there are a few who believe that Rey belongs to Kenobi family.

There are even other theories that suggested her link to Emperor Palpatine. However, it would be interesting to see who exactly the parents of Rey are in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." Recently, while speaking on "Good Morning America," Johnson revealed that this particular topic is going to be addressed in the upcoming film, says Metro.

According to Johnson, the revelation is tough because it carries an element of secrecy. The director also said that "The Last Jedi" will be full of lots of surprises, twists, and turns. These revelations by Johnson somehow matched the information which was recently unveiled by the trailer for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" at the Star Wars Celebration, held in Orlando, Florida.

Is Ezra Bridger The Father of Rey?

The trailer of the eighth "Star Wars" movie shows that Rey (Daisy Ridley) is trying to learn how to use a lightsaber. Immediately, there is an attack on the Resistance, wherein Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) says that it is time for the Jedi to end.

The details about the parents of Rey and other surprises will be revealed only when the movie releases on Dec. 15 this year. However, a Reddit user already has a strong theory about Ezra Bridger being the father of Rey.

This character first appeared in "Star Wars: Rebels" and is most probably present in the "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming movie.
