Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have finally filed for divorce, despite their good relationship towards each other. The ex-couple is now seeking for joint custody of their three kids, which had the "Elektra" actress in tears.

According to a recent report from Today, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have decided to file for divorce, even if they have been doing a great job in co-parenting their kids. The actress was seen in tears, as she talked about her family.

The divorce news of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck still shocked their fans, as people hoped that they would finally reconcile. The friendly exes have been seen together going to church and were even spotted in several events together with their kids.

Despite their good relationship with each other, reports stated that Garner and Affleck are still planning to pursue divorce. Sources even claimed that the ex-couple is very close to each other, which is why many fans thought they have decided to reconcile.

"(Affleck and Garner) always planned to divorce despite what people said...They just did it the way they wanted to and did what was best for their kids. There was no catalyst, it was just time," an onlooker stated. "Nothing has changed, they are and still will be putting their kids first."

Garner And Affleck Remain Amicable

As per People, Affleck and Garner are still very much amicable and that they continue to co-parent their kids. They even spent Easter Sunday together with their kids.

“They are spending the Easter weekend together in L.A.," an insider said. “They are having an Easter celebration as a family at their house Sunday.” The family also attended Easter services together as a group.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have officially filed for divorce documents together. Yet, they promise to keep their kids as their first priority.
