Steve Kerr, the Golden State Warrior's head coach, said to reporters last Sunday (Apr. 23) afternoon at the Portland hotel that his health took a turn for the worst over the last few days. Get to know more details about the coach's health, here.

Steve Kerr Out Until He Gets Better

Kerr added that he will not be able to coach the team and will be out indefinitely until his health status improves, the NBA reports. Marcus Thompson, a Mercury News reporter wrote that Steve Kerr could barely walk and was in excruciating pain.

In the interview, the coach said that at the end of his team's Game 2, he was starting to feel uncomfortable. During practices, he feels uncomfortable as well, with things getting worse than it was before. He said that what he's experiencing right now is different from what he experienced two off seasons ago.

Kerr And Surgery History

Kerr had two separate back surgeries that fell into spinal fluid leak, resulting to severe headaches and complications. Due to the inconveniences that his surgery caused, Steve Kerr went for a back surgery rehab and missed the 43 last games in the previous season.

According to the Spine-Health, when one has undergone a most recent back surgery, post-surgical recovery is very important. The patient should follow the doctor's prescription and nurse's instruction to fully recover.

It is also reminded that when the back is in pain again, ask for help and consult the doctor. It might not be normal and might just lead to further complications - just as what has happened to GSW's coach, Steve Kerr.

For the time being, there are still no answers as to why Kerr's back problems are coming off into such condition. Although, Kerr advised anyone who is listening and experiencing the same thing as him to stay away from back surgery and just opt for rehab instead.

The coach said that his next step will be determined in the coming days and in his absence, Mike Brown will be the one to fill in as the acting head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
