‘The Winds Of Winter’ Release Possible Before ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 8 Premiere; Possible Collaboration With Neil Gaiman
George R. R. Martin’s upcoming novel, “The Winds Of Winter” is creating constant headlines these days. While fans have been eagerly waiting for its release, the 68-year old “The Princess and the Queen” writer has not given any updates yet about his forthcoming novel.
When Will “The Winds Of Winter” Be Released?
However, the latest reports suggested that George R. R. Martin is working round the clock on his much-awaited novel “The Winds Of Winter,” which is slated to be released anytime in 2017. He already admitted that his novel was supposed to be released last year but he had missed multiple cutoff dates.
Then he promised that he will finish his novel anyhow this year and keep the task his first priority. Several reports also claimed that the novel will be released before the premiere of “Game Of Thrones” Season 8.
“Not done yet, but I have made progress. But not as much as I hoped a year ago, when I thought to be done by now,” George R. R. Martin explained about his highly anticipated novel “The Winds Of Winter” on his blog.
On the other hand, other news suggested that the writer has stopped working on “The Winds Of Winter,” as he has already finished and the book is presently in the proofreading phase, as reported by Blasting News. This is assumed, due to his activities on social media - as it seems he has plenty of time doing other things like launching of the StageCoach Foundation etc. He was also seen recently sharing a snap of his pet tortoise, Morla on Twitter.
Has George R. R. Martin Given The Responsibility To Neil Gaiman?
It is also said that since Martin is busy with other projects, he might have given the responsibility to finish “The Winds Of Winter” to Neil Gaiman. According to Korea Portal, Martin’s collaboration with “The Graveyard Book” writer Gaiman is assumed simply because he has been spotted multiple times in New Mexico, the hometown of “The Winds Of Winter” writer. However, this part of assumed collaboration between Martin and Gaiman is still not confirmed.
