A mother in the US died of breast cancer after the day her three daughters got married.

Jodie, Sarah and Kaylie Swales of Snelville, Georgia decided to walk down the aisle on the same day in a hastily-arranged triple wedding ceremony so that their mother Becky could attend it.

“It’s kind of bittersweet,” Jodie Swales told the website MyFoxAtlanta.com before Sunday’s ceremony. “We are happy that she’s here, but this will probably be the last big thing that we do with her.”

Swales family said in a statement that Becky Swales passed away Monday morning. She was battling breast cancer for the last four years. The wedding was scheduled on Oct. 26 but it was preponed after a change in prognosis.

The community of Snellville also helped the Swales family by sending in donations and also offering a venue for wedding reception.

The dream of Becky Swales finally came true when she watched her daughters walking down the aisle with their father Otis Swales.

“It’s hard, but I’m proud of my daughters,” Otis Swales said before the ceremony according to MyFoxAtlanta.com . “I just pray God gives me strength to get through every day.”
