For the majority of patients, surgery can be a very scary procedure. Right before surgery, some people might use mental tactics, such as a self pep talk, or enlist the help of a religious figure as preparation. For one doctor in particular, she created a flash mob video to lighten the mood before her double mastectomy surgery. Dr. Deborah Cohen's video has gone viral and has inspired many people who have seen it.

Cohen, who is an OB/GYN at the University of California at San Francisco, asked her surgical team to do a flash mob, which is a choreographed dance sequence usually performed at random locations. Before the surgery, the team and Cohen, danced to Beyonce's "Get Me Bodied." The video reveals Cohen dancing near a gurney as the surgical team danced nearby.

"I was more nervous about how the flash mob was going to go than how the surgery was going to go," Cohen said according to the Los Angeles Times.

The dance, which lasts six minutes and 14 seconds, has been called an inspiration. In the video, Cohen, who got her education from Harvard University and currently specializes in treating pregnant women with HIV, appears carefree as she dances and laughs. The video was posted on Nov. 5, which was during the day of her surgery and has gotten almost 700,000 clicks the following day. Cohen's surgery, which took place at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center at Mount Zion, was successful.

Now, Cohen hopes that other people would be inspired to dance. On her CaringBridge.org website, Cohen encourages people to send her dance videos or flash mob videos.

"I have visions of a healing video montage," Cohen wrote on her website. "Nothing brings me greater joy than catalyzing others to dance, move, be in their bodies."
