NASA recently released what it calls one of the most colorful images of deep space ever captured by the 24-year-old Hubble Telescope.

According to NASA, the composite image includes about 10,000 galaxies and goes back to within in several hundred million years of the big bang. It is believed that the universe is around 13 and 14 billion years old.

NASA added that the composite is also important for study of cosmos as it includes ultra violet and new-infrared light.

"Ultraviolet light comes from the hottest, largest and youngest stars," reads a news release on NASA.com. "By observing at these wavelengths, researchers get a direct look at which galaxies are forming stars and where the stars are forming within those galaxies."

The photo has been taken over 841 orbits of the telescope and shows about 10,000 multicolored galaxies.
