A Google self-driving car on Thursday was pulled over by a Mountain View cop for too slow and holding up traffic!

The car was travelling at 24 mph on a road with 35 mph speed limit. According to Mountain View Police blog post, an officer noticed the autonomous vehicle was holding up traffic and pulled up close to the car to notice it was one of Google's cars without a driver. Since no offence was committed, a ticket was not issued.

"The Google self-driving cars operate under the Neighborhood Electric Vehicle Definition per 385.5 of the California Vehicle Code and can only be operated on roadways with speed limits at or under 35 mph. In this case, it was lawful for the car to be traveling on the street as El Camino Real is rated at 35 mph," the post reads adding the officer educated the operators about impeding traffic per 22400(a) of the California Vehicle Code.

In a Google Plus post, geeks at the Google Self-Driving Car Project proudly claimed that the car has never been ticketed after operating 1.2 million miles. They also informed that the speed of the car was capped.

"We've capped the speed of our prototype vehicles at 25mph for safety reasons. We want them to feel friendly and approachable, rather than zooming scarily through neighborhood streets," the post informs.
