YouTube’s Music Streaming Service All Set to Compete with Apple and Spotify
YouTube is all set to launch its music app that it thinks will enhance the user's music experience than the main video app. The app will have many interesting features that make it easy for the listeners to find the exact kind of music they enjoy amongst all the variations that have ever been created, from covers to stage live shows, the users can listen to all. Even though this music service is being launched for free, there is also an additional plan od $10 that will allow an ad-free subscription service called YouTube Red. The listeners can make an easy switch between videos and audio-only if they want to use another app simultaneously. T. Jay Fowler, music projects head at YouTube told Business Insider, "Our goal here was not to have a check-box, feature-comparative service. We wanted to create something that was very, very uniquely YouTube and that fit our users' usage patterns," Reports Yahoo News.
The upcoming launch of YouTube music will make music an enjoyable and better experience for all the people who enjoy listening to music everyday. Even though it is odd that YouTube music will be in direct competition with Google Play Music, its parent company, apart from Apple and Spotify. However, it makes sense considering its ubiquitous nature. YouTube will equip its app with all the tracks as its contenders and the users will be able to enjoy the albums and singles just like anywhere else, as reported by Independent.
According to Wired, everything in YouTube music is personalized for ease of the user. On the home screen, you will be able to see three features, "my station" and other two genres that will show based on your listening preferences. The station will be based on what you like and also what YouTube thinks you like based on its algorithms and your browsing history.
