iPhone 7 Rumors: A Bigger Screen And A Mini Are Unlikely?
Not long after its predecessor was launched, iPhone 7 screen became the talk of the tech world while a smaller 4-inch looked real. New reports now suggest that a smaller phone may not meet expectations while a bezel-less screen may not be in the making.
According to Forbes, a 4-inch iPhone 7 may only serve to up-sell the bigger iPhone as it is unlikely to match the former in specifications. A 4-inch iPhone, dubbed the iPhone 6C, was said to be in the making before the launch of iPhone 6S this year. Apple however did not release such a device. That notwithstanding rumors of a smaller phone or iPhone 7 Mini refused to die.
Several reports have claimed that the next iPhone could feature a bezel-free screen powered by an AMOLED display which is more power efficient than the LCD screens Apple uses.
However, such a design was booed by noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who according to Forbes said that iPhone users will have to wait a few years before Apple makes the transition.
Given Apple's plans to make next generation phones thinner, a bigger battery is unlikely. That made it seem reasonable for users to expect an AMOLED screen.
