Sprint Customers Lured by T-Mobile by Offering $200 Credit for Making the Switch
Holidays are here and T-Mobile may have just the right offer to lure the customers into their fold. The third largest carrier in the United States on Wednesday said that they will offer $200 bill credit to any customer is willing to make a switch from Sprint's prepaid plans to T-Mobile network. This $200 credit will be offered apart from the $650 that T-Mobile will be paying to Sprint for early termination of the connection along with extra payments that the customer has to pay for switching to another network. According to the new and limited time offer, the consumers are not even required to turn in their handsets, as reported by CNET.
This promotion has been rolled out in time to capture the benefits of holiday shopping for the thanksgiving week. It is also an indication of how the competition amongst the wireless service providers is heating up. Up until few months back, T-Mobile was competing with the third spot with Sprint which it seems to have secured for itself now. Sprint also made an announcement last week of a similar promotion offering 50% discount relative to the current rate plan of their competitor. T-Mobile CEO. John Legere, said through social media that Sprint's move looks like a sign of desperation. "I cannot think of any wireless customers in more desperate need of some holiday cheer than those Sprint customers still hanging on over there," said Legere, who's known for his colorful insults. "Those poor people have put up with the nation's slowest and smallest LTE network," reports TMO News.
Apart from this offer, T-Mobile is also offering many other holiday promotions that include many Black Friday deals. They also announced for the new customers that they would be able to enjoy a three months of free unlimited data access plan, as per T-Mobile website
