New Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid Price, Specs and Review
The new Chevy hybrid is coming soon. The carmakers are working on their eco-friendly model that is expected to be launched at a starting price of $28,645, that is inclusive of destination price of $875, said Northern Californian. The new environmental friendly car model will be called Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid LT and will be released by spring next year. The green model will be a slightly pricey version of its earlier models, over $6,000 more as compared to 2010 model of Chevrolet Malibu. In fact, it is also costlier than its competitors, $2,000 more than Toyota Camry, hybrid version and $2,000 more for the Ford Fusion model.
Even though it costs more, it is still considered worth the price because of the additional features that will make the car experience better. The best thing is that this car is designed keeping the fuel efficiency in mind. As per the Auto Blog, it is better than any other hybrid sedan in the segment as it is capable of 48 mpg. The electric motor powering the car comes with 1.5-kWh lithium ion battery and a 2.8-liter engine. Together, the engine and the electric motor can produce up to 182 horsepower.
As per Latinos Health, there are more features to look forward to such as the ventilated car seats with leather upholstery as well as the rear vision camera. There is also an additional provision of 4G connectivity that changes it into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Another interesting feature is its compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that makes it a great option for Android and iPhone users. Many car lovers are already enthusiastic about this new option that will be soon coming into the car market. This car is also said to be lighter and thus faster than the other models, according to Slash Gear.
