Samsung Galaxy S7 Leaks: Release Date, Screen Size And Lot More!
If numerous reports that have emerged over the festive season prove true, Samsung's next Galaxy offering in 2016 could break away from generations of monotony.
Citing other sources, Forbes reported that Samsung is working on a 5.2-inch Galaxy S7, which is about 0.1 inch bigger than Galaxy devices of previous three generations. The device codenamed 'Hero 1' will be paired with a larger 5.5-inch variant Galaxy phone, which could be named Galaxy S7 Plus and codenamed 'Hero 2'. Galaxy S7 Edge and Edge+ are also under development and will be featured in the same sizes as the Galaxy devices.
According to Tech 2, Samsung is planning to run an initial production of 3.3 million flat-screen Galaxy S7 and 1.6 million devices with curved screens. The launch of the device could happen as early as February next year.
The reports, citing South Korean sources, contrast past reports that claimed that Samsung will go the Apple way to improve its devices without making a new offering this year.
Besides facing tough competition from its main rival Apple, Samsung is also from other Android device makers who through low-cost offerings, are trying to capture the market that Samsung has dominated for years now.
