Rise of the Tomb Raider to Come on PCs in January, Confirms Steam
The gamers can rejoice as the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider is all set to launch in January, according to the Steam listing of the game. The game developers, Square Enix are yet to confirm the date of desktop launch of its latest installment of Tomb Raider, even though it officially announced in July that the PC and Windows 10 versions will be released in early 2016. According to Engadget, the PS4 version of the game will come out by late 2016.
The popular game, Rise of the Tomb Raider, was launched on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November with Square Enix forging a deal with Microsoft that made the game exclusive to Xbox platforms for a period of one year. This move surprised many fans when it was revealed in August 2014. Even though the definition of "exclusive" in this case was not very clear, Square Enix eventually clarified their plans. "The game will be a console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch, coming to PlayStation 4 in holiday 2016," the studio said in July.
Rise of the Tomb Raider belongs to the franchise as a second game that was rebooted in 2013. The new game has been an exclusive for Xbox One since it was launched last month. However, as per the deal between Xbox One and Square Enix, it was supposed to be a timed exclusive only and the PC release coming up early 2016. Thanks to the new Steam listing, it is known that the game will be available from next month itself, reported GSM Arena
