Is 4.6 Inch Galaxy S6 Mini Too Late for Launch?
After the successful release of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, market was abuzz with the rumors of the flagship's mini version. Samsung was the first company to sell a mini version alongside its flagship phone. Its started with Galaxy S4 and subsequently, Galaxy S5 was sold with its mini version along with the larger counterpart the following year. However, since so far there is no news of Galaxy S6 mini, it is safe to assume that it is not going to happen this year. But it will be too soon to quash the expectation just yet. GSM Arena reports that a retailer in UAE has listed a Samsung Galaxy mini with its specifications which is not officialy available for sale but can sign-up to know when it will be available in the market.
According to the specifications listed, Galaxy S6 Mini would sport a 4.6-inch AMOLED display screen, 1.8 GHz hexa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 15-MP rear camera, 5-MP front camera. There will also be a fingerprint sensor, non-removable battery and would be powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop, reported Phone Dog.
It appears to be a little late for Samsung S6 mini to come to the market. If the trend is to be noticed, Samsung should be getting ready to release their next variant of Galaxy S series. And since the holidays are almost over, this will not be such a very good time to come up with a new mini handset. However, despite all that, people who like their handsets to be small do not have too many options these days so the S6 mini will not entirely be a lost cause. But what is important to note is that in their bid to make their handsets smaller, many large flagships in the past have made huge compromises to fit into the smaller handsets. Perhaps this is the reason why Samsung S6 Mini hasn't come out yet. Perhaps the company is taking a bit longer perfect the smaller version and make it as close to its large counterpart as possible, reports Insight Ticker.
